The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) forecasts that the turnover of the country’s plastics exports may reach 1 billion USD this year as Vietnam ’s plastic products have a firm foothold in the world.
Vietnamese natural rubber producers are optimistic about 2010 exports, after enjoying growth of 2.3 percent in quantity and 92.4 percent in value in the first seven months of the year over the same period of 2009.
Vietnam's plastics export value is expected to hit a record high of one billion US dollars this year, said a report by Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Commerce on 17 August.
The country exported 324,000 tonnes of rubber worth US$893 million in the first seven months of the year, according to the Viet Nam Rubber Association.
